Last night saw the creation of another East-meets-West fusion dish, but you’ll have to go to “Chemical Meltdowns” to read about it…
I’m still awaiting news about my JET application - Peter is holding a vigil at the mailbox in eager anticipation. But I’m getting nervous about their delay - sure, they’ll get back to me, be it good or bad news. The rub: if it’s good news, I’ll have to buy a ticket on very short notice, which is expensive.
Have any of you readers flown on standby? Is it cheaper? How many flights did you have to wait for before getting on board? PM me your experiences. Thanks!
I put in my two weeks notice at the Blue Train yesterday. It was a mixed feeling - sad to be leaving, excited to see signs of moving onward. While I feel that I haven’t seen a lot of Melbourne, I also feel done with it at the same time. Strange.
I had another DJ gig Monday night, and played some hip hop and other non-swing favorites. People cheered like crazy when I played the Soggy Bottom Boys…
And Haziz, the new pizza chef from BT, told me the other day that all the kitchen hands love me because I take the extra 5 seconds to stack the dirty dishes when I drop a load of them off. They like the little bit of effort, and it apparently helps them out a lot.
