Heh, some bug hunting (in tovid) before going to an excellent mountain BBQ hosted by Sam. A few may have heard or know about Kawane - the mountains where Shizuoka’s best tea comes from, well, Sam lives half way up and threw an excellent party. Lots of catching up with folks I haven’t seen in a while, some really good music (Sam has excellent taste), and of course the food! Grilled veggies, marinated chicken, and burgers. Very nice, and perfect weather. Even both steam trains went by - we were in a river basin, which is basically the only place to have a J-style BBQ - right by the train bridge.
